Allow non-mutual SSL connections to allow a user to establish a connection with an authenticated server, without providing a client certificate.

Hi,

Are there any plans to accept this pull requests, as I have a very similar requirement, where I intended to toggle ssl_verify flags, but this is reasonable enough, as it works out completely equal.

If there are not, what would be the objection against it?
